The Client:

Aggreko UK Limited is the global leader in the rental of power and temperature control systems.

The Project:

Aggreko UK Limited’s National Rental Centre (NRC) is based in Cannock, Staffordshire, where it provides a 24/7, 365 service.

Due to continued success of Aggreko UK Limited, it had become necessary to plan for future growth to serve demand in the rental business.

The existing NRC accommodated 34 workstations, which through some minor building fabric alterations, space planning and an innovative furniture solution, could be increased to 53 workstations, a 55% increase.

As the NRC was going to be “cleared” during 2 phases of installation, it was considered opportune to change the carpets throughout, to complete the new look.

Through careful planning between Aggreko’s Facilities Management team and ABC Solutions (UK)  Project Management the installation was programmed over two weekends, whilst still maintaining 24/7 business cover through an internal temporary move.

Each phase included the removal of existing furniture, relocations of IT, new IT infrastructure, new carpets, and installation of new bench style furniture.  The project was completed within the programmed dates and on budget.
